At Rodmarton School, we are especially proud of our strong, extended community of parents and carers. This community positively influences the children’s experiences of school and brings a wealth of far-reaching benefits.

“Our third child is about to start Reception at Rodmarton and we couldn’t be more excited for him. Teachers and parents put in so much to make this a wonderfully nurturing and inspiring school. When your child starts at the school, your entire family joins a community. We couldn’t ask for more.’

“Mrs Cooksley, Mrs Bladon and Miss Stone of Acorn Class marry the compassion and warmth a four-year-old still really needs with a dedicated, effective and fun approach to learning. And we’ve been delighted at how the teachers and Mr Smith go out of their way to nurture relationships between pupils of all ages. They make it feel like an extended family. We are very lucky to have such a place in our lives.”

“We have a daughter in Year 1 but we have been Rodmarton parents for almost 10 years, and although her older siblings have moved on, Rodmarton was our first choice despite the more complex logistics. Over the years the school has evolved and improved but at its heart the character remains the same – a small, village school, blessed with an idyllic outdoor space, next to a community village hall that the children can use for everything from assemblies, to performances to lunch. We love that the size of the school creates a strong community, between the parents and the teachers, but especially among the children who get to know everyone from Reception to Year 6, and learn to nurture the younger children following their path.”

“When our boys moved to Rodmarton School mid-year, the staff were brilliant at helping them settle. It is a friendly school and very nurturing because of its size. The teaching has been of high standard and we are very pleased with the education they have received.  The extracurricular activities include different sports, cooking and gardening clubs for example. I highly recommend Rodmarton Primary School.”

“Rodmarton school is a happy place, where the year groups intermix and support each other. The outside spaces cover everything from a play ground to a playing field and woodland within walking distance for forest school days. The teaching staff are dedicated and experienced and the Head Mr Smith, is a friendly and enthusiastic leader. Because it is not a big school, the community is close as well as supportive and friendly. Rodmarton has all the ingredients of a countryside school to give children the best start to their education.”

“Rodmarton School is a very nurturing school and, with the help of The Rodmarton Friends, provide our children with incredible curricular and extra curricular opportunities.  All staff and parents are so friendly and inclusive – every day we feel so lucky that our children attend.”

“Rodmarton is a nurturing school that is focused on the wellbeing of my children and offers individual attention to them in a caring and positive way. My children feel safe and happy and are thriving in the school’s friendly environment. The school provides good support to parents too by offering structure and consistency and by being inclusive and well organised. As a parent at the school, I have always felt heard and reassured. The school has a caring, inclusive and supportive ethos and it offers my children the best learning environment and emotional support.”
